Course Description

LivingWorks safeTALK v.3 is a three to four-hour, in-person, interactive training designed to equip Learners with practical, skills-based training to become Suicide Safety Connectors. Through a structured four-step model, Learners become more alert to persons thinking of suicide and better able to connect them to further support.

Learning Objectives

After completing this training the professional will be able to:

• notice and respond to situations where suicide thoughts may be present.
• recognize that invitations for help are often overlooked.
• move beyond the common tendency to miss, dismiss, and avoid suicide.
• apply the TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, KeepSafe.
• know community resources and how to connect someone with thoughts of suicide to them for further suicide-safer help.
